In Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, we enter a tension-filled world where the fate of Hayabusa Village rests on the shoulders of a new hero. The renowned warrior Ryu Hayabusa leaves Japan to fulfill his father’s final wish, and during his absence, the barrier between humans and demons shatters.

As a result, the village is attacked by dark forces.

The player takes on the role of Kenji Mozu, a young ninja who stands up to the threat. Over time, he is joined by Kumori, a mysterious warrior from a rival clan — their bond marks the beginning of a new chapter in the battle between light and darkness.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a fast-paced 2D action game that blends classic gameplay elements from the early Ninja Gaiden titles with a modern approach to combat and control. It features a retro-inspired aesthetic paired with smooth animations and demanding mechanics that require adapting to each enemy.

How to play:

In Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, the action unfolds from a side-scrolling perspective. As you progress through levels, you’ll jump across platforms, avoid traps, and face off against enemies. The main character wields a katana. Some foes require special techniques to defeat — once taken down, Kenji can enter a “hypercharged” mode, allowing him to eliminate enemies with a single strike.

Kenji has a wide range of moves: he can deflect projectiles, air dash, climb surfaces, and perform the stylish “Guillotine Boost”, bouncing off enemies or attacks with an added hit. At the end of each stage, the player receives a score based on performance.

Later in the game, you’ll gain control of Kumori, who specializes in ranged combat and can teleport short distances. She opens access to a demonic dimension, where players must solve timed platforming challenges to uncover hidden paths. Throughout the game, collecting Ki allows players to summon powerful weapons, boosting their combat potential.

Evotinction takes the player to a futuristic world where advanced technology, including artificial intelligence and genetic engineering, poses a deadly threat to humanity. You play as Dr. Thomas Liu, a scientist trapped in a research facility. Imagine that a virus-controlling AI system has taken over this place. Infected drones have eliminated most of the staff, and the hero’s goal is to stop the threat from spreading beyond the facility.

Game type:

Evotinction is a third-person action game. The game emphasizes stealth, strategic approach, and the use of advanced hacking skills. The player avoids direct combat, using a tactical approach and precise planning.

How to play:

The entire gameplay in Evotinction is based on well-planned actions. Since Dr. Liu is not a warrior, he uses his technological knowledge and a wide range of hacking tools that allow him to survive. There are many ways to take advantage without open battles. You can disrupt the signal of devices by deactivating them or even taking control of them. You can also sabotage the AI system by installing malicious software. All this time you have to remain unnoticed, which can be helped by holographic projections that will distract the enemy. Any mistake can activate an alarm, which brings the hero an immediate reaction from patrolling drones. The game requires the ability to analyze the situation and react quickly.
