This is a classic fighting game, which, in addition to introducing new combat mechanics, has been expanded with a storyline continuing the story known from previous instalments. At the centre of the events is Sol Badguy – a former member of this race, who is now trying to cut himself off from the past once and for all. In the latest instalment of the series, he unexpectedly comes face to face with his creator and greatest opponent – Asuka R. Kreutz, who voluntarily surrenders to the authorities. What drives him? What secrets does his plan still hide?

Guilty Gear: Strive is a modern version of the 2.5D fighting game, a continuation of the legendary series by the creators of Arc System Works.
In Guilty Gear: Strive everything revolves around one-on-one duels. Each of the warriors has their own style: some prefer to keep their opponents at a distance, others go into close combat without ceremony, and there are also those who rely on complex combinations or powerful grabs. Each character has a different combat philosophy and a different way of building pressure – and that’s where the most fun lies.
The core of the fight is based on the balance between pressure and defence. During the fights, a special tension meter charges – the more actively you play, the faster it grows. You can then use it for stronger moves or Roman Cancel – a great tool that allows you to interrupt the animation of a blow and take control of the rhythm of the fight. There is also Psych Burst – a defensive rescue manoeuvre that can remove the threat, although it must be used with caution – it is not available all the time.
A new feature is the wall-breaking mechanic – if you press the opponent to the end of the board correctly, you can break them to a new part of the arena and gain an advantage.
There are many modes: a story campaign in the form of an animated movie, arcade, training, missions, versus and of course multiplayer. Online battles are in the form of a tower – the better you do, the higher you go, which translates into a good selection of rivals, without randomness.
