Like a Dragon: Ishin takes players to Japan in 1867, to the fictional city of Kyo. The main character is Sakamoto Ryoma, a samurai looking for the murderer of his mentor. The game tells the story of the end of the samurai era and Ryoma’s key role in overthrowing the shogunate. The only clue behind the murderer is his fighting style, known only from one school whose students landed in the city of Kyo.
