Atomfall takes players to an alternative version of the events after the disaster in the 1960s, when a nuclear reactor fire occurred in Windscale. In the game, the consequences of the disaster were more significant than they were in reality.
The events led to the building of a strictly guarded quarantine zone in northern England. Five years after the disaster, this area has become a place full of dangers, inhabited by quarrelling factions and groups of survivors fighting for survival.
We play the role of a man suffering from amnesia, who sets off into the depths of the contaminated area to discover the truth about past events and find his place on earth.
