Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is the next installment in the legendary strategy series, where players control a civilization through the ages. Gameplay is divided into three main periods: Ancient Times, the Age of Discovery, and the Modern Era. Each civilization evolves, but at the end of each era, it must give way to a new nation. Don’t worry, though, you retain some of your achievements from previous stages during this transition. Civilization VII, also known as Civ 7, is a turn-based 4X strategy game focused on exploration, expansion, exploitation, and extermination (eliminating other civilizations). The game can be won in many ways: through military dominance, economic development, diplomacy, or scientific advancement. A key element of this installment is the dynamic civilization change system, which influences the course of the game, and a structure based on three distinct eras, each with its own technology tree.
How to play:
In Civilization 7, players develop their civilization through city building, resource management, warfare, and diplomacy. Changes have been made to the city management system, making strategic building placement crucial, allowing buildings to gain additional bonuses based on their surroundings.
The military has been improved – commanders now gain experience instead of individual units, allowing for more strategic battles. Barbarians have been replaced by more organized threats, and rivers have become a crucial tactical element, enabling the rapid movement of troops.
While this installment abandoned the religious victory, religion still plays a significant role, especially in the Age of Discovery.
