Your task is to stop Curien, save civilians and solve the mystery that hides behind the walls of his residence. The House of the Dead is a dynamic game with a horror story, in which you have to act quickly to survive.

The House of the Dead: Remake is a classic representative of the “rail shooter” genre. In this type of gameplay, the player does not directly control the character’s movements, but only directs the crosshair, eliminating opponents.

In The House of the Dead: Remake, the creators have primarily improved the graphics, character models, sound and adapted the game to the current control standards in the game. Papetura is an artistic, Polish point-and-click adventure game. The game was created by Tomasz Ostafin, who, inspired by games such as The Neverhood, Machinarium and Samorost, developed the project alone for a long time. The gameplay is based mainly on exploration and interaction with the environment. Some challenges require the player to be dexterous – Tura can shoot light projectiles, which allows her to overcome obstacles and solve some puzzles. Additionally, there are sections where you have to react quickly, e.g. avoid flaming balls.
Every element of the world was hand-crafted from paper, then photographed and transferred to the game, giving it a unique, organic look. The story is told without words – the narrative is based solely on images and sounds, which enhances its extraordinary atmosphere. Animations and a mesmerizing soundtrack by Tomáš Dvořák (Floex), known for his music for games such as Machinarium and Samorost.
