In this part of Assassin’s Creed, you play Basim Ibn Ishaq – a thief from the Middle East. The main character accidentally meets a representative of the Hidden Ones, which changes his fate, opening the way for him to join the Assassin brotherhood. His mission is to track down and eliminate members of the Order of the Ancients, who are plotting against the city.

The story is a deep study of Basim’s transformation from streetwise outcast to master assassin, tracing his relationship with his mentor Roshan and the impact of his decisions on the future of Baghdad.

Unlike the last instalments, the title abandons the complex RPG mechanics in favour of a more linear narrative and a smaller but more densely populated world. The production focuses on dynamic exploration, silent elimination of enemies, and skilful overcoming of obstacles appearing on city streets and rooftops. Thanks to the faithful reproduction of historical Baghdad, the game captures the atmosphere of the golden age of the Islamic world.

How to play:

The gameplay in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage places a strong emphasis on stealth and a tactical approach to eliminating enemies. Due to the nature of the game, the classic mechanics known from the first parts have been returned, such as hiding in the crowd or throwing knives at opponents. Among the new applications, the ability to examine the surroundings with your eagle has been introduced, but do it wisely because the excellent archers of the enemy can shoot him. The game also has gadgets, such as smoke bombs that allow you to disappear from the field of view or darts that put opponents to sleep.

Before making a blow, you can stop time to plan an attack, and then execute it with a smooth sequence of movements. Direct clashes are much more difficult than in previous instalments – opponents are well-armored and attacking them in open combat can lead to a quick death. Baghdad has been divided into four main districts, where, apart from the main plot, you can complete additional orders, discover artefacts and acquire equipment upgrades.
