Some challenges require the player to be dexterous – Tura can shoot light projectiles, which allows her to overcome obstacles and solve some puzzles. Additionally, there are sections where you have to react quickly, e.g. avoid flaming balls.
Every element of the world was hand-crafted from paper, then photographed and transferred to the game, giving it a unique, organic look. The story is told without words – the narrative is based solely on images and sounds, which enhances its extraordinary atmosphere. Like a Dragon: Ishin takes players to Japan in 1867, to the fictional city of Kyo. The main character is Sakamoto Ryoma, a samurai looking for the murderer of his mentor. The game tells the story of the end of the samurai era and Ryoma’s key role in overthrowing the shogunate. The only clue behind the murderer is his fighting style, known only from one school whose students landed in the city of Kyo.
