Ghost of Yōtei is a completely new story that takes us to the far north of Japan in the seventeenth century, well after the events of Ghost of Tsushima. The main character, Atsu, is a lonely mercenary with a past that refuses to be forgotten. Years after the tragedy that took her family, she sets off on the trail of a group of murderers. Her path leads her through the wilds of Ezo, where much more awaits her than just a score to settle.

You explore an open world full of contrasts – from meadows and forests to snowy peaks and unexplored terrain – which you traverse on foot or horseback. This game combines the beauty of an open world with satisfying combat mechanics, all set in a unique Japanese setting.

You don’t need to know the previous instalments – it’s a standalone story with its rhythm and protagonist.

How to play:

From the very first moments, the game throws you into a whirlwind of duels. Atsu isn’t afraid of battle and readily wields his katanas—even two at a time. Throughout your adventure, you’ll encounter masters who will teach you new techniques, and you’ll acquire an extensive arsenal that you can adapt to your fighting style. Disarming enemies? You’re welcome. New abilities? You unlock them as you progress, finding statues and exploring the area.
